The 9th Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies (AFOS) Congress and the 20th Thai Osteoporosis Foundation Annual Conference took place from 25 to 27 September 2025 at the Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok, Thailand.
APCO is proud that several of its members played key leadership roles in planning and organising the congress, contributing significantly to its success. We extend our congratulations to Assoc. Prof Natthinee Charatcharoenwitthaya, who served as Congress Chair; Dr Thanut Valleenukul, Secretary-General; and Dr Tanawat Amphansap, a member of the Scientific Committee, for their dedication and outstanding efforts in making AFOS 2025 a success.

Prof Chandran also used the opportunity to promote the APCO Collective Intellect Clinical Case Discussion Platform (CICCDP), which has been gaining traction among clinicians across the Asia-Pacific region as they learn to manage unique bone health cases.
The active roles played by these APCO members at the AFOS 2025 highlights APCO’s leadership in advancing osteoporosis care across the Asia-Pacific region and underscores our commitment to supporting excellence in clinical practice, research, and education. We look forward to active participation in the next highly anticipated congress in the Asia Pacific region- the IOF Regional Congress that will be held in Tokyo, Japan from December 11-13 2025.
